Description

Represents vehicles that are used to transport goods which are operated by professional drivers, typically administered as part of a larger fleet, and regulated by a Fleet and Freight Management Systems. This classification applies to all such vehicles ranging from small panel vans used in local pick–up and delivery services to large, multi–axle tractor–trailer rigs operating on long haul routes.

Vehicle Eco–Driving Assist'Vehicle Eco–Driving Assist' provides customized real–time driving advice to drivers, allowing them to adjust behaviors to save fuel and reduce emissions. This advice includes recommended driving speeds, optimal acceleration and deceleration profiles based on prevailing traffic conditions, and local interactions with nearby vehicles, i.e., processing Basic Safety Messages (BSMs) to determine position and speed of vehicles that are between the host vehicle and the intersection.
