Southwest Summit Council of Governments
Description
The Southwest Summit Council of Governments (SWSCOG) was created in January 2013 with the communities of Copley and Springfield Townships and the cities of Barberton and Norton as its founding members. The primary goal was to form a new regional emergency dispatch center, Southwest Summit Communications (SWSCOM), to jointly serve the four communities by handling all police, fire, and EMS calls for them.
